The Postman is a native Oregonian with a degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon.  He moved to Marin County in 1971, and spent that decade as a remodel contractor, culminating in buying, remodeling and selling a Mill Valley home.

Prior to the Seventies in Marin (those were the days), he began his major media career in NYC as a marketing executive for LIFE magazine.  In 1980, the sirens of New York called The Postman from Marin back to Manhattan, where he owned and operated an independent incorporated computer and system consultancy. Among many other projects he performed contracts for Prudential-Bache Capital Funding, and, designed and executed an automated discrete mortgage loan document creation system for the Resolution Trust Corporation. After being published at book length in hard cover and mass market, he returned to the Bay Area, becoming a Microsoft Certified System Engineer and Microsoft Certified Trainer, engaging in contract training for Hewlett Packard and Wells Fargo among other entities.
